Medicare Appeals

Medicare Appeals

MY STORY: When I became a lawyer, I never planned on practicing Medicare law.  Then it became necessary in my own family.  Twice, when my father was in a long-term care facility, my mother received a notice saying Medicare would no longer pay for the facility and treatment.  As I read over the letter and the numerous steps involved, I quickly realized that the appeals process would be confusing, intimidating, and daunting for a non-lawyer.  Because his son was a lawyer my father won both appeals and continued to receive the care he needed.  But the experience left our family wondering "how do non-lawyers navigate this system?"

MY SERVICES: For a reasonable rate,  I will take care of each step of the medicare appeals process including:

  1. Re-determination by Medicare Administrative Contractor
  2. Reconsideration by Qualified Independent Contractor
  3. Administrative Law hearing
  4. Medicare Appeals Council review

There are hundreds of thousands claims in the Medicare system, and many are time sensitive.  It is important that you pick an attorney that will ensure that your claim is taken care of, in a timely manner.  That way you can focus on caring for yourself or for a loved one.
